"Hello? Who is this?"
"Am I speaking to Ms Jameson? From the adoption agency? It's Mrs Thomas. I'd like to take up your offer about those orphan girls.""
"Yes. Very well, You can come in to fill in the forms and meet the girls Later today."
"Thank you. What did you say their names are?"
"Tia and Saoirse. Cousins. Their mothers were murdered in the club shooting in 2001, ten years ago years ago."
"Ok. Thank you."
Mrs Thomas arrived at the orpanage two hours after the brief phone call. Her head was spinning. She was dreading walking through
those doors, meeting the innocent girls, knowing as soon as she brought them home, their eager faces and the delight of finally
being lovedto would be taken from them. But if she didn't do this, He would turn to her own children. Her husband would turn to
her children. She really hated him, but couldn't leave him, or she would be tracked down and killed. He said he wanted children.
She had to do this. Putting on a smile, she skipped up the steps, her heart pounding. Knocking on the doors, she wished the
ground would eat her up. No more pain, no more suffering. The cuts and bruises would be gone. The scars from the deeper cuts
where he had used more than his fists to inflict damage on her. All gone. But her children needed her. Her little girls. Three
of them. None older than seven. She was distracted from her thoughts as she heard whispering from the other side of the door.
"Is it her? Our new Mother?"
"I hope so! I can't wait to meet her. And our new sisters. And our Dad!"
"Oh yeah! It'll be just like Olivia! She said her new Dad does all sorts, like plays the Xbox with her and buys ice-cream!"
"mmmm, Ice-cream! I wonder what the sisters are like, I hope they like us!"
"We're going to be big sisters!"
"Oh my god, Yeah!"
"Shhhhh, Tia! You're so noisy! Did you have fizzy today?"
"Maybe just a little...."
"You're absolutly mad!" *Giggles*
Mrs Thomas felt so guilty. These girls sounded so innocent.
"Ok, ok, Lets just open the door before we get checked for drugs!"
The huge wooden doors opened, and there stood two girls, both around the same age. The one on the left Had Black hair,
Brown eyes and was dressed in black and pink clothes, complete with Black laced up boots. The other Had long Darn brown,
Almost black hair, Blue eyes and wore almost the same clothes, but blue and black, and black uggs. They looked up at her
with obvious excitment in their eyes.
"Are you Mrs. Thomas?" The Pink and Black one asked.
"Yes. And you are.... Saoirse?"
"No, Tia. This is my cousin Saoirse." She replied, throwing and arm around Saoirse's shoulder.
Mrs Thomas Hated herself.
